The funniest little cat story I’ve read in a while. The rhyming is genius the plot is hilarious!
If you have read the Hairy Maclary book series then you will know Slinky Malinki.

This is Slinky’s story and until I read this had no idea about his tarnished past, you see Slinky Malinki was once a thief!

Tantalising illustrations show his single minded ‘collecting’ as he roams the night time hours finding things to add to his hoard. Lynley Dodd’s watercolours masterfully capture the moonlit drama as it unfolds.

“One rascally night between midnight and four, Slinky Malinki stole more than before”.

We watch as he gets completely carried away and disaster strikes. His obsession is discovered and he is in deep disgrace.

“NEVER again did he answer the call, when the moon shadows danced over garden and wall.
When whispers of wickedness stirred in his head, he adjusted his whiskers and stayed home instead.”

This brilliantly rhyming cat story, makes excellent use of vocabulary and onomatopoeia which will stimulate and captivate the voracious young mind.
