A snuggle, a kiss and a family to be with is all this baby crocodile wants, but he has hatched early and mummy is nowhere to be seen.
“Snip-o-dile, snap-o-dile, very scary crocodile!” say the animals as they run away from him. Poor baby, no one else seems to know that crocodiles need kisses too! Feeling a bit lonely he reaches the riverbank hoping to find some friendly creatures.
A beautifully illustrated rhyming story follows the common plot of a little creature looking for its mother. This is however well written and easy for children to spot the approach of a happy ending as story starts with the same sounds to identify the baby crocodlie as are used to recognise the return of his mum. The soft tones and atmospheric scenes make this a very friendly book visually. The sounds and key words are in larger writing, making the story very accessible to new readers. A lovely bedtime story for little people who will delight in the catch phrases and enjoy getting their own hugs at the end of the story.
Fun repetitions and affectionate sentiments for little ones.
