Eccentric Captain Cat is a trader with additional crew! The cats he loves to collect love captain cat too. Though people laugh and rub their heads at his choice of companions, the Captain follows his heart and in doing so finds himself at the centre of a wild adventure.

When a storm blows them off the map, they sail into a harbour on a forgotten island and discover an exotic looking city where cats have never been seen before.

Unfortunately the island is plagued by rats, but Captain Cat has just the remedy.

In a slightly disturbing page the cats bring the dead rats to be counted. Thankfully there is not a spot of blood to be seen, softening the dire outcome of the rats.

Written with a humorous narration, we are reassured that though the cats were swapped for treasure, the cats actually had the final say of staying on the island.

As with tales of old, a twist develops when Captain Cat returning from sea with his new treasure, inspiring the greedy merchants to seek out the lonely island.

However all does not turn out quite how they envision! After gifting many of their pretty wares to the queen, she rewards them with something very precious…something purrrrfect.

The childish delight of the queen is infectious as she rides her bike with the goats, delights in the kittens and lives freely on her island, while her young Prime Minister flies a kite on the beach.
